Lisa’s Take on Life: Don’t Let the Past Rob the Future

Why is a dog worthwhile?  Let’s list, shall we?

• Dogs like long walks on beaches
• Dogs will gobble up your candlelight dinner
• Dogs are faithful
• Dogs are always free to give kisses
• Dogs seek you out when you need love (and when you don’t)
• Dogs look at you with unwavering adoration, even when you wake up with hair askew and makeup smears all over your face; to them, you are always beautiful
• Dogs don’t want to be mad at you, or for you to be mad at them; they’ll work hard to win back your undying affection
• Dogs make you know what it is to be loved

So, to my dogs who might sometimes feel that I don’t appreciate them enough (yes, they’re right), let me just say that I do love them, even though they drive me crazy.
